National Database

The Swiss Neuromodulation Society is currently working on a project of a national database in collaboration with Dr Kaare Meier from the University of Aarhus in Dennmark. The database will be made freely available to centers performing neuromodulation implants in Switzerland. It will enable the introduction of data on spinal cord stimulator and intrathecal pumps. It will then be extended to other techniques, such as peripheral nerve stimulation, sacral nerve stimulation and occipital nerve stimulation (ONS). The centers will remain owners of data entered but will have opportunities to compare with those of other centers (benchmarking) or make them available for multicenter research protocols.
